Dr Timothy Broady, Research Fellow, Centre for Social Research in Health
Dr Timothy Broady is a Research Fellow at the Centre for Social Research in Health. His current research interests include addressing stigma and discrimination amongst communities affected by blood-borne viruses, HIV prevention, and the lived experiences of marginalised groups within society.
Jennifer MacLachlan, Senior Epidemiologist, WHO Collaborating Centre for Viral Hepatitis at The Doherty Institute
Jennifer MacLachlan is the senior epidemiologist for the WHO Collaborating Centre for Viral Hepatitis at The Doherty Institute, and currently leads the National Viral Hepatitis Mapping Project. Her work focuses on the innovative use of routinely collected data to assess progress in Australia’s strategic response to viral hepatitis.

Dr Marianne Martinello is an infectious diseases physician at Prince of Wales Hospital and St Vincent’s Correctional Health, and senior research fellow and NHMRC early career fellow in the Viral Hepatitis Clinical Research Program at the Kirby Institute, UNSW Sydney.
Colette McGrath, Service Director Population Health, Justice Health NSW
Colette McGrath is the Service Director Population Health, Justice Health NSW and has a master’s in Health Management She has been working with marginalised populations for more than 20 years she was previously the HIV & Related Programs Manager in South Eastern Sydney LHD and prior to that worked as the Clinical Services Manager in the Medically Supervised Injecting Centre. Colette has spent most of her career working with people who inject drugs, and she is passionate about ensuring that disadvantaged populations have access to health services.
Philip Read, Director of sexual health and blood borne viruses, South Eastern Sydney Local Health District
Phillip Read is the Director of sexual health and blood borne viruses in South Eastern Sydney Local Health District, as well as the Director of the Kirketon Road Centre. KRC is a harm-reduction based primary health care service for people at risk of blood borne viruses, operates SELSHD’s NSP program, and received funding to provide COVID testing to vulnerable populations.
Professor Peter Revill, senior medical scientist and laboratory head, VIDRL
Professor Peter Revill is a senior medical scientist and laboratory head at VIDRL, at the Peter Doherty Institute. Prof. Revill has a strong national and international reputation in HBV virology and pathogenesis and in 2015, he co-founded the global HBV cure initiative ICE-HBV, and in 2019 led publication of the first ICE-HBV Global Scientific Strategy for HBV cure.
Dr Nick Scott, Head of Modelling & Biostatistics, Burnet Institute
Dr Nick Scott is the Head of Modelling & Biostatistics at the Burnet Institute. His research generates economic arguments for better health policy, particularly for improving access to viral hepatitis testing, treatment and care.
Jack Wallace
Jack Wallace’s social research looks at hepatitis B as an issue where individuals, family (in all its forms), culture, politics and policies, and biomedicine intersect. He has worked in community, government and research sectors seeking to reduce the personal and community impact of blood borne viruses, particularly viral hepatitis.
